Bo Carpelan (1926-2011) är en av Nordens stora författare. Han debuterade som lyriker 1946. Lyriken förblev hans huvudgenre men han har också gett ut flera romaner, bland dem Finlandiaprisbelönade Urwind 1993 och Berg 2005. Bland hans litterära kvarlåtenskap fanns manuskriptet till diktsamlingen Hon och han.
