Finnish labour law in practice tarjoaa kattavan ja käytännönläheisen englanninkielisen yleiskatsauksen suomalaiseen työoikeuteen ja työelämän sääntelyyn, erityisesti kansainvälisessä toimintaympäristössä.
Suitable for: Kansainvälisessä liiketoiminnassa toimivat, työoikeudellisista kysymyksistä kiinnostuneet sekä Suomessa työskentelevät ulkomaalaiset.
The internationalization of the business environment has created an acute need for a comprehensive overall presentation of Finnish labour law in English. Finnish Labour Law in Practice is just this. The book is a practical hands-on guide to all those who are in need of basic information about working in Finland.
The book handles all the usual questions relating to the employment relationship, such as the hiring and firing of an employee, provisions on working time, holidays and leaves of absence, grounds for termination of the employment relationship, and co-operation between management and labour. The book looks in depth at provisions governing the operation of foreign companies and workers in Finland. Among others, these include provisions on work permits, minimum standards and social security, as well as rules governing co-operation in groups of companies and the administrative representation of the personnel.
The authors are lawyers in the service of the Confederation of Finnish Industries. They all have extensive experience on labour law issues, and they have written numerous books on labour law. This book is translated into English by Jyrki Hollmén, who also works as a lawyer in the Confederation of Finnish Industries.
