Foliage for cello and piano : 2017 is a commissioned work for the Turku Cello Competition, celebrating the expressive potential of the cello.
Kenelle: For those interested in cello music, contemporary repertoire, and sheet music for string instruments.
Foliage is commissioned by the Turku Cello Competition as the mandatory work for its 2018 contest. The solo part is an homage to cello and its versatility as an instrument. The solo part containts both fragile, ethereal colors, as well as more solid tones, and both poetic and playful gestures.
Foliage on sävelletty Turun sellokilpailun 2018 pakolliseksi kappaleeksi. Foliagen soolo-osuus on kunnianosoitus sellon monipuolisuudelle soittimena. Mukana on niin hauraan eteerisiä sävyjä kuin kiinteää laulavuuttakin, niin runollisia kuin leikkisiäkin eleitä.
