The seventh and final volume of Georg August Wallin's Skrifter gathers his final years in Helsinki, focusing on his professorship and plans for new explorations. The book includes Wallin’s letters, his professorial dissertation, and the beginning of a travel account from his first journey to the Arabian Peninsula in 1845.
Den sjunde och avslutande delen av Georg August Wallins Skrifter innehåller material från hans sista år i Helsingfors. Efter hemkomsten från den sju år långa forskningsresan till Mellanöstern utnämndes Wallin till professor i orientalisk litteratur i januari 1851. Tiden fram till sin död i oktober 1852 tillbringade Wallin med att undervisa vid universitetet och planera en ny forskningsresa till Arabiska halvön. Bandet inkluderar Wallins brev, professuravhandling och inledningen till en resebeskrivning om hans första resa till Arabiska halvön 1845.
