Protocall teknikbiten - Tekniikan ruotsia on osa PROTOCALL-tuoteperhettä, joka perustuu Promentor Protocall Engineering e-oppimisratkaisuun. Oppikirjojen sisällöt ovat syntyneet vuosina 2000-2002 PROTOCALL-nimisessä Leonardo-projektissa. Oppisisällöistä vastasivat jo tuolloin Tampereen ammattikorkeakoulun tekniikan koulutusalan kokeneet kieltenopettajat. Nyt sama työryhmä on jalostanut sisällöt oppikirjan muotoon.
Kirjoissa käsitellään esim. seuraavia teemoja: puhelin- ja sähköpostiviestintä, tuote-esittely, asennusmanuaaleissa esiintyvät käsitteet, erilaisten vikojen kuvaaminen, nykyisiin laatujärjestelmiin sopiva prosessikuvaus sekä muistion kirjoittaminen.
Dialogien lisäksi kussakin kappaleessa on runsaasti harjoituksia. Harjoitusten sisällöt myötäilevät kunkin dialogin teemaa. Lisäksi kappaleissa on lisätekstejä yleisimmiltä tekniikan aloilta harjoituksineen.
