Looduspildid (Nature Pictures) by VelJo Tormis (1930-2017) consists of four cycles depicting varying atmospheres of different seasons: 1. Kevadkillud (Spring Sketches), 2. Suvemotiivid (Summer Motifs), 3. Sügismaastikud (Autumn Landscapes) and Talvemustrid (Winter Patterns). Tormis wrote the songs in 1964-69 to texts by contemporary poets, and Kevadkillud uses haikus by Jaan Kaplinski (1941-2021). The texts are given in Estonian and English singing translations by Ritva Poom are also provided.
