Teologian tohtori Petri Piiroinen on laatinut teoksen , jossa tarkastellaan Suomen ortodoksista kirkollista elämää ennen maamme itsenäisyyttä, sen mukanaan aiheuttamia järjestelyjä ja lopulta hakeutumista Moskovan patriarkaatin alaisuudesta Konstantinopolin ekumeenisen patriarkaatin yhteyteen. Viime vuonna tuli kuluneeksi 100 vuotta 1918 annetusta asetuksesta Ortodoksisesta kirkkokunnasta. Tuosta ajasta Suomen ortodoksit ovat kuuluneet 95 vuotta Konstantinopolin yhteyteen.
