Kootut yksinlaulut ja duetot 2

Kootut yksinlaulut ja duetot 2 showcases Madetoja’s diverse solo and duet songs, capturing a range from folk-inspired pieces to impressionistic concert works.
Kenelle: For vocal enthusiasts and music lovers.
It is between two extremes - the small-scale folk song and the brilliant, impressionistic concert song - that the Madetoja solo songs lie. The complete solo songs and duets in two parts edited by Kimmo Tammivaara includes some pieces that could more or less be classified as utility music. Madetoja wrote solo songs throughout his active career. The first
works by him (1908) to be performed in public were
solo songs, and he was still producing a few in the late 1930s and early 1940s, by which time his strength was beginning to fail him.
