Samling Sigurd Frosterus med Sofia Aittomaa som redaktör är en unik forskningsresa till den postimpressionistiska målarkonsten och dess betydelse inom såväl finländsk som internationell konsthistoria. Sigurd Frosterus (1876-1956) konstsamling lyfter fram Frosterus djupa förståelse för den moderna konsten och för sin samtid.
I boken behandlar Susanna Pettersson, Kimmo Sarje och Sofia Aittomaa konstsamlandet som fenomen, Frosterus konstsyn samt utvecklingen av samlingen. Boken ger en detaljerad bild av Sigurd Frosterus stiftelses samling.
Verket publiceras i samarbete med Sigurd Frosterus stiftelse och Amos Rex.
