This book, produced in honour of the centenary of Juho Kusti Paasikivi's birth, is a political profile of this great Finnish statesman, following half a century of activity in Finnish politics, in which he solved the problem of country's security and laid down the lines of a new foreign policy. The work is a political biography, but not only that. It also describes Paasikivi's scholarly and literary work, and Paasikivi the man at home with his family. The text of the book, the first biography of Paasikivi, is by Professor Uuno Tuominen, and the pictures have been edited by Kari Uusitalo.
